Metropolis Report-
Resuming rescue efforts at the Gulistan building, where a fatal explosion last evening claimed at least 17 lives, is moving slowly this morning due to concerns over the safety of the structure.
Rescue workers cannot begin operations at full capacity until they have received approval from authorities, according to police.
The building’s basement beams and pillars are compromised and using large machinery there, like excavators, could induce vibrations that could lead to the building collapsing, said police.
