Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to hold bilateral meetings in Johannesburg, South Africa, during their visit to the 15th BRICS Summit.
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs has not mentioned names. Prime Minister Hasina will also attend the G20 Summit in India in September.
The 18th G20 Heads of State and Government Summit in New Delhi will conclude the G20 processes and meetings.
Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen has suggested New Delhi as a better location for a bilateral meeting with Modi.
The first in-person BRICS Summit since 2019, the summit will review progress and identify future areas of activity.
Prime Minister Modi will also participate in a special event “BRICS – Africa Outreach and BRICS Plus Dialogue” after the summit.
