Tuesday marks the start of filming for the eagerly awaited Hera Pheri 3, with original cast members Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal reprising their roles.
The franchise’s debut movie, which also starred Tabu, Om Puri, and Gulshan Grover, was released in 2000. The third movie is now in production after the release of the second installment, Phir Hera Pheri, in 2006.
Tuesday marked the start of filming for the movie in Mumbai with Akshay, Suniel, and Paresh, according to the Pinkvilla report (February 21). The article added that Farhad Samji, not Anees Bazmee, is helming the picture.
Those familiar with the situation told Pinkvilla, “To further this cult franchise, the original Hera Pheri group gets back together. The team is now convinced that Hera Pheri 3 will live up to all the buzz and anticipation around part 3 of Hera Pheri, even if there have been numerous discussions over the screenplay over the past few months.”
“Akshay, Paresh, and Suniel are all positively anticipating their return to the set as Raju, Shyam, and Baburao, together with producer Firoz Nadiadwala.”
