Between February 7 and 9, the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education plan to publish the results of the Higher Secondary School (HSC) Certificate and its equivalent exams.
The proposal to publish the results on any of the three dates has been given to the Ministry of Education and is awaiting clearance, according to the board’s chairman and convener of the inter-education board coordination committee on Friday.
The start of the HSC and equivalent exams for the academic year 2021–2022 was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and flooding, and it was delayed until November 6.
The exams attracted more than 1.2 million students from nine general education boards, a madrasa board, and a technical school board. The HSC tests now only include a smaller number of subjects, and the syllabus has also been condensed.
The due date was February 11, as the boards were compelled to make the results public within two months of the exam. The prime minister has historically been the one to make the official announcement of the results of both the secondary and higher secondary exams. On a day chosen by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, they will be out.
