The 8th International Fire, Safety and Security Expo (IFSSE)-2022 has been inaugurated by Honorable Planning Minister, M A Mannan, MP today at Bangabandhu International Conference Center, Dhaka. IFSSE-2022 is organized by the Electronics Safety and Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB), going to be held from 24th to 26th November 2022. FBCCI President Md Jasimuddin, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan, Director General of Fire Service and Civil Defence Brigadier General Md Main Uddin were present in the inaugural ceremony as guests of honor.
Besides ESSAB, Fire Service and Civil Defence are co-partnering with this event. Modern fire-fighting systems are being displayed by hundreds of brands from both home and abroad. Visitors are welcome to attain the technical sessions conducted by the country’s most renowned safety personnel and policymakers.
Chief Safety Officer of RMG Sustainability Council (RSC) George Faller, who has decades of experience as a safety professional spoke in a technical session on the first day. He emphasized developing local safety standards by the policymakers of Bangladesh. All other speakers also depicted their concern to eradicate all the existing discrepancies and conflicting issues between the existing laws of Bangladesh like BNBC, Fire Code, and so on.
