The operator of Asia’s largest Tier IV data center and the data center division of India’s Hiranandani Group, Yotta Data Services, has announced an investment of more than Tk 20 billion to build a Hyperscale Data Center Park in Dhaka over the course of the following four to six years.
The investment is a part of Yotta’s international expansion, which places a heavy emphasis on neighboring nations, particularly Bangladesh, one of the regional leaders in digital transformation.
Two hyperscale data center buildings with a combined capacity of 4800 racks and 28.8MW of IT power would be housed in Yotta’s Dhaka Data Centre Park in Gazipur’s Hi-Tech City, Kaliakoir.
The park will support the nation’s efforts to modernize digitally, acting as the digital backbone of enterprises and a catalyst for Digital Bangladesh, the government’s flagship initiative.
The park is scheduled to launch its first data center construction in the 2024 fiscal year.
