According to Indonesian authorities, the number of fatalities from the earthquake that struck Java on Monday has increased to 252 as more bodies are found beneath collapsed structures.
The Cianjur regional disaster mitigation organization said on its Instagram page on Tuesday that there were more fatalities than the 162 reported the previous evening.
Numerous injuries were sustained, and another 31 persons are still missing.
