A day after being abducted from the Natore Modern Sadar Hospital, Natore Sadar police located and retrieved a newborn infant in Kushtia.
About the incident, two ladies have been apprehended. The kid, who is one day old, was born on Thursday at about 11:00 am, according to the father, Mahfuzur Rahman Palash of Khajura Mahishdanga village in Natore’s Naldanga upazila.
The child was with her grandmother, Khairun Nahar, Friday morning when a woman dressed as a nurse stole the child away under the guise of taking her to the doctor.
When the woman did not come back, they began looking for her in the hospital but were unsuccessful.
As the hospital was deserted during Friday prayers, the woman fled with the infant. Police received CCTV footage, according to the civil surgeon of Natore.
