Influencer ‘Cream Apa’ Sued for Allegedly Mistreating Her Children

Sharmin Shila, widely recognized on social media as “Cream Apa,” has been sued for allegedly mistreating her children in online videos to gain views and generate income.

Savar Upazila Women Affairs Officer Kazi Israt Jahan filed the case at Ashulia Police Station around 10:45 PM last night under the Children Act 2013, according to Investigation Officer Md Kamal Hossain. He stated that efforts are underway to take legal action against the accused.

According to the case statement, Sharmin, a beautician based in Ashulia, Savar, has gained popularity on social media platforms for her homemade skincare business. She frequently posts videos on Facebook and other platforms featuring her young son and daughter.

The complaint highlights a specific incident on March 30 at approximately 4:00 PM, when Sharmin shared a video on Facebook that later went viral. In the footage, she is seen forcefully prying open her two-year-old daughter’s mouth to feed her.

The complainants allege that she routinely subjects her children to distressing situations in her videos, including forced haircuts, hair dyeing, wearing heavy earrings, gargling, verbal abuse, slapping, and other physical discomforts. These actions are allegedly aimed at creating viral content.

For over a year, Shila has reportedly neglected her parental duties and subjected her children to various forms of abuse, including physical assault, emotional mistreatment, and psychological distress, the case statement further claims.
