For its hospitality and agricultural sectors, Italy is interested in bringing in additional labor from Bangladesh.
At the UN Food Systems Summit, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina met with three Italian ministers. They informed the Prime Minister that Italy will expand legal employment in the hotel and agricultural industries.
However, they are worried about a large number of illegal employees as well. The undocumented Bangladeshi workers who support both the economies of Italy and Bangladesh have also requested PM Hasina to legalize them.
As the Bangladesh government is supportive of legal immigration, it pleases Italy.
