Yasutoshi Nishimura, minister of Japan’s economy, trade, and industry, advised Bangladesh to enhance its business climate to draw foreign investment.
He stressed the necessity of teaming up efforts to combat climate change and energy security. Additionally, Nishimura advised Bangladesh to improve industrial manufacturing and expand its IT industry.
Bangladesh has received investments from more than 300 Japanese firms, and more are anticipated.
Tipu Munshi, the minister of commerce, Nurul Majid Humayun, the minister of industries, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, the minister of the information and communications technology division, and other officials attended the summit, which was organized by the Japan External Trade Organization, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority, and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
