“JP candidate is trying to create controversies on EVMs,” says Returning Officer

Returning officer Abdul Baten commented that Jatiya Party’s mayoral candidate in Rangpur City Corporation polls, Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa, is trying to make EVMs and elections controversial. 

He said this while visiting the Lions School and College polling station at 10:30 am on Tuesday (December 27).

“After hearing his complaint, I spoke to the presiding officer. There was no EVM error. A voter was casting his vote. He was asked to wait a little. But instead of doing that, he is trying to make EVMs and elections controversial,” said Abdul Baten.
