Kabir Bin Anwar has been appointed the new Cabinet Secretary. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard yesterday.
Kabir Bin Anwar, who joined the Bangladesh Civil Service as an Assistant Commissioner in 1988, took charge of the Ministry of Water Resources as a Senior Secretary in 2018.
Prior to that, he served as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and as Additional Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office as Director General (Administration).
Kabir Bin Anwar was born on 4th January 1964 in Sirajganj. His father, Anwar Hossain Ratu, is a brave freedom fighter. Mother Syeda Isabella was one of the organisers of the historic liberation struggle.
He is a seventh-batch officer of the BCS (Administration) cadre. Besides Bangabandhu Public Administration Medal, he received various awards in recognition of his contribution.
