Under the bridge, two ferries will run, and one will be on standby. A fixed toll of Tk 5 applies to rickshaws, vans, bicycles, and carts; Tk 10 applies to motorbikes; Tk 25 applies to three-wheelers; Tk 55 applies to private cars; Tk 90 applies to microbuses; Tk 115 applies to minibusses; Tk 135 applies to agricultural vehicles; Tk 170 applies to small trucks; Tk 205 applies to buses; Tk 225 applies to trucks; Tk 450 applies to heavy trucks; and Tk 565 applies to trailers.

For the ten lakh residents of Boalkhali Upazila to access different parts of the city, the bridge was essential.
