Even after spending 18 days in the hospital, BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s health was “not satisfactory,” according to her personal doctor, Prof. AZM Zahid Hossain.
“Had her condition improved faster, she wouldn’t have been kept in the hospital,” the doctors stated, adding that the medical board set up for her treatment is working to hasten her early recovery.
He added it was unclear how long she would need to stay in the hospital.
Khaleda was being closely watched, according to the doctor, and her treatment strategy was being adjusted all the time.
He stated, “New medications are being prescribed… and some are being discontinued.”
Zahid declared that she must be taken abroad immediately for proper care.
