Early this morning, when cutting hills in Cox’s Bazar’s Ukhiya upazila, three Rohingya people were buried alive behind a sizable chunk of soil.
Syed Akbar, Zahid Hossain, and Nur Kabir were named the deceased.
The event happened between 3:30 am and 4:00 am in the Muhuripara region of the Sadar Rajapalong union, said police.
The victim’s body was taken by other workers into the Rohingya camp shortly after the incident, and police later found it.
Two more bodies were found at the scene during a search by Ukhiya firefighters and police. The bodies were sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
