One of PepsiCo’s most well-known potato chips brands, Lay’s, has begun manufacturing its chips at Bogura in Bangladesh in collaboration with Transcom Consumer Products Ltd. The program demonstrates Lay’s dedication to fostering local ties and fostering regional economic development.
For its operation, which will also act as a hub of employment and have an impact on the go-to-market structure, Lay’s has set a goal of acquiring 10,000 tonnes of high-quality chip-grade potatoes.
Together with Transcom, Lay’s has started the “Lay’s Make in Bangladesh” campaign, which will delight millions of customers and promote a sense of pride in the farmers and the entire workforce.
Four types of chips will be offered: Thai Style Spicy Chicken, Spanish Tomato Tango, Classic Salted, and American Style Cream & Onion.
In return for PepsiCo’s dedication to the market, the business and Lay’s brand will experience faster growth. The chips will be sold in packs for 10, 15, 25, 50, and 75 taka.
