The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission today increased the price of LPG to Tk 108.09 per kg from Tk 104.26.
Consumers now have to spend Tk 46 extra for a 12kg LPG cylinder.
Previously, a client would pay Tk 1,251 for a 12kg cylinder of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
At a virtual press conference, BERC Chairman Abdul Jalil stated that the pricing of LPG cylinders weighing between 5.5kg and 45kg would be modified by the new rate.
Today is the first day when the new prices are in effect.
