The National Institute of Preventive and Social Medicine has got Dr. Meerjady Sabrina Flora as its director.
Professor Sabrina Flora previously held the position of Additional Director General (Planning and Development) at the Directorate General of the Health Services (DGHS).
As the new additional director general for Planning and Development, Dr. Ahmedul Kabir of the DGHS took Sabrina Flora’s place.
The change was made official on Tuesday by a health ministry notification that was signed by Senior Assistant Secretary of the Health Service Division, Md Alamgir Kabir.
The former director of NIPSOM, Professor Dr. Bayezid Khurshid Riaz, has been promoted to additional director general (admin) of the Directorate General of Medical Education (DGME).
The additional director general of the DGHS is now Dr. Resheda Sultana, director of the Public Health Institute.
