In a recent interview with Diario Ole, Lionel Messi acknowledged that he had witnessed and heard about the fervent support for the Albiceleste shown by Bangladeshi football fans and expressed his gratitude.
When asked if he had seen the scenes of the crazed crowd in Bangladesh, Messi responded, “Before the final, I did see the t-shirts all over the place. It is quite lovely to see Messi’s image on the “10” Argentina t-shirts that individuals have made from all around the world.”
The World Cup champions’ enthusiastic support from Bangladeshi fans just earned the proper acknowledgment, as their football federation’s official Twitter account expressed gratitude in a post on December 20.
As they celebrated after the World Cup, Argentines also showed their appreciation by flying the Bangladesh flag, as shown in numerous social media images.
