The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited, or DMTCL, managing director, MAN Siddique, has announced that the metro rail will shortly begin running on Fridays.
On Monday afternoon, Siddique confirmed the information to bdnews24.com.
“On Fridays, we are to work on the metro rail service operations, as instructed by our honorable advisor. We’re putting some effort on it. Today, we’re planning a visit as well. We require additional time. Fridays require system organization. On the other hand, we are preparing for the launch and want to do so shortly.
The public will soon be able to access metro rail services on Fridays, according to many other DMTCL executives.
The metro rail is now accessible to the general public six days a week; Fridays are not serviced.
The creation of a roster for Friday responsibilities has been directed to station controllers, train operators, and other station personnel.
Plans are in place to operate the metro rail on Fridays starting at 3 p.m., since there are less people traveling in the morning.
