Egypt’s highest honor, the “Order of the Nile,” was presented to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday by Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo.
The “Order of the Nile,” established in 1915, is given to heads of state, crown princes, and vice presidents who provide Egypt or humanity with priceless services.
A pure gold collar known as the “Order of the Nile” is made up of three-square gold components engraved with pharaonic emblems.
The first unit represents the concept of defending the state from evil, the second one represents the prosperity and joy brought by the Nile, and the third one represents wealth and fortitude.
The Prime Minister has received numerous honors over the past nine years, including the Order of the Druk Gyalp, the highest civilian decoration in Bhutan, the Companion of the Order of Logohu, the Ebakl Award from the Republic of Palau, and the Companion of the Order of Fiji.
