In her home in Panchagarh’s Boda Upazila, a middle-aged woman has suffered a fatal hacking attack. She is the mother of a local leader of the student front of the deposed Awami League.

Boda Police Station chief Md Azim Uddin stated that the incident happened in the Kaliaganj area of Kajoldighi Kaliaganj Union at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Abul Kalam Azad’s wife was Arina Begum, who passed away at the age of 45.

Wahiduzzaman Amit, their eldest son, is the Kajaldighi Kaliaganj Union Chhatra League’s president.

Locals claim that at night, Arina was praying for Esha at home. At that moment, someone came inside and used a sharp object to hack her to death.

Azad discovered his wife lying in a pool of blood on the floor when he got home from the market late at night. The people in the area hurried over when they heard his cries.

Police officer Azim Uddin stated, “We performed a preliminary examination after recovering the body on Friday.” We found multiple wounds from sharp weapons on her head. The morgue has sent the body for a post-mortem.

The family was getting ready to file charges, according to the police.
