Md. Mezbaul Haque, executive director of the Bangladesh Bank, has been chosen as the institution’s new spokesperson.
According to a press release, Mezbaul Haque has over 26 years of expertise in central banking.
He began working for Bangladesh Bank in 1993 as an assistant director and went on to have a successful career as a central banker.
He has worked as the director of the Payment Systems Department. He was also a change maker in policy and supervision of national payment systems and the Fintech sector.
Additionally, he played a crucial role in automating the core banking system, ERP, central bank networking, and other relevant services.
Before that, he contributed to the banking sector’s on-site foreign exchange and vigilance inspection. He participated actively in the implementation of the CAMELS rating system and risk-based capital requirements in the banking sector as well as off-site bank supervision.
