Senior Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Department Mahbub Hossain has been appointed as the new cabinet secretary.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Tuesday (January 3).
Earlier, on December 11, the Ministry of Public Administration appointed Kabir Bin Anwar as the 23rd Cabinet Secretary.
He succeeded Mohammad Khandaker Anwarul Islam.
Another notification issued today also announced the retirement of Kabir bin Anwar.
Senior Secretary Mahbub Hossain is going to sit in this chair of the most important official of the administrative machinery of the government.
