Newly elected Central Executive Committee of the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) has paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj.
Members of IDEB central executive committee, led by its President engineer A K M A Hamid and General Secretary engineer Md. Shamsur Rahman, placed a floral wreath at the mausoleum of Bangabandhu in the afternoon.
After laying the wreath, the IDEB leaders stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu, the architect of Bangladesh’s Independence.
A special Doa seeking eternal peace of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage as well as martyrs of the War of Liberation was also offered.
A special prayer was also offered wishing for longevity of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Fazlur Rahman Khan, vice-president (Dhaka) brave freedom fighter AKM Abdul Motaleb, vice-president (Chattogram) Zafar Ahmed Sadek, vice-president (Cumilla) Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, vice-president (Faridpur) KM Aminul Islam, vice-president (Mymensingh) Ajay Kumar Sarkar, vice-president (Barishal), Md Mizanur Rahman, vice-president (Rajshahi) Md Kabir Uddin, vice-president (Rangpur) Mahabubar Rahman, vice-president (Sylhet) Md Nazrul Hossain, joint-secretary Md Abdul Quddus, Md Sirajul Islam, among others, were present.
