To give Pahela Baishakh celebrations the respect they deserve and to include Mangal Shobhajatra in them, the education ministry has issued directives to educational institutions throughout the country.
The government mandated that educational institutions celebrate the Bangla New Year on Friday in a joyous atmosphere under their own supervision.
Also, they must spread the word that in 2016 Unesco designated Mangal Shobhajatra as an Intangible Cultural Heritage.
