Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday stated that the country’s armed forces are “fully prepared to defend the nation’s sovereignty” following Delhi’s accusations linking Islamabad to an attack on tourists in Kashmir.
“Our brave armed forces are fully capable and ready to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against any misadventure, as was clearly demonstrated through their measured yet firm response to India’s reckless incursion in February 2019,” Sharif said during a speech at a military ceremony at the army academy in the city of Abbottabad.
