On Sunday (13 November), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked for fuel from Saudi Arabia with a deferred payment schedule.
While the Deputy Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz Al Dawood paid a visit to her at her official residence Ganabhaban, the premier made the request, reports the agency.
The meeting being over, PM’s press secretary had a briefing with reporters. The Prime Minister asked for cooperation in oil supply from Saudi Arabia with a deferred payment schedule, he said.
Sheikh Hasina also sought Saudi Arabia’s help in solving the Rohingya crisis. In the meeting, they both discussed various issues of mutual interest.
The Saudi deputy minister raised the issue of Bangladeshi passports expiring. He proposed forming a joint working group on passport renewal. The Prime Minister consented to this and asked the authorities concerned to take necessary actions.
