At today’s coronation of King Charles III at Westminster Abbey, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was present there. King Charles III and the queen consort are crowned at the ceremony, which is presided over by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Prior to the king and queen consort’s coronation, Hasina attended King Charles III’s reception for heads of state, government, or foreign officials.
After attending a World Bank event honoring its 50-year collaboration with Bangladesh in Washington, DC, the US, and a bilateral visit to Japan, the prime minister arrived in London on May 4 for the third phase of her trip.
She also attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, a yearly gathering of the heads of state and government of the Commonwealth countries, which took place before the reception.
Bangladesh’s premier was expected to attend the summit, which was hosted in Marlborough House, the Commonwealth Secretariat’s London headquarters.
