At Rangpur Zila School Ground, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially opened Teesta Solar Limited, the biggest 200 MW solar power plant.
At Sundarganj in Gaibandha, Beximco Power built the biggest solar power plant in the nation.
In December 2022, the plant started producing electricity and sending it to the national grid.
Chairman Shayan F. Rahman underlined the project’s 100 percent ownership as well as the future significance of renewable energy.
The project, which started in 2017, has a 35-kilometer power transmission line and is financed with green Sukuk bonds.
