The 2.34-kilometer Kalshi flyover in Mirpur of the capital was inaugurated to traffic on Sunday by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She also opened the 3.7 km long, six-lane road from the ECB square to Kalshi.
During the unveiling of a plaque at a civic event that grew into a sizable public gathering held at Kalshi Balur Math, the prime minister officially opened the flyover and the road.
The flyover would significantly enhance communication between Mirpur DOHS, Pallabi, Kalshi, Mohakhali, Banani, Uttara, and the Dhaka airport. The journey from the airport to Mirpur will take 15 minutes.
