Fifty model mosques have been inaugurated in the second phase under the project of establishing model mosques and Islamic cultural centers in each district and Upazila of the country.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated these model mosques and Islamic cultural centers, connecting virtually at 11:30 am on Monday (January 16).
A total of 564 model mosques and Islamic cultural centers are being constructed in each district and upazila of the country.
As part of this project, the premier inaugurated 50 model mosques in the first phase on June 10, 2021.
286 more are currently under construction. Among them, 50 more model mosques will be inaugurated in February after the inauguration of 50 this month.
