According to a press statement from the electricity division, transmission system repairs may cause power outages in several areas of Dhaka for the next seven days.
For the sake of the national grid construction work, a press release issued today expressed regret for the “temporary inconvenience”.
“To improve the capacity of the Rampura 230/132 KV grid substation, Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited (PGCB) will build a new 230/132 KV, 450 MVA transformer from 7:00 am on July 16 to 5:00 pm on July 22.
For the following seven days, there can be a partial power outage in some regions served by Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited and Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited, it continued.
