The price of the 12kg LPG cylinder has been set by the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission at Tk 1,178 for April, a decrease of Tk 244 from the previous month. The cost was Tk 1,422 in March.
According to a notice from the Bangladesh Electricity Regulatory Commission, the new pricing is effective as of right now. Per kilogram of LPG, the revised price will be Tk 98.17.
LPG used in automobiles, known as autogas, will cost Tk 54.9 per liter as opposed to Tk 66.22 in March. Propane and butane, the two primary components of LPG, are priced by BERC in accordance with Saudi Arabia’s Aramco contract rates.
About 14.28 lakh metric tonnes of LPG are consumed annually in Bangladesh, 84 percent of which is consumed by households. 29 private corporations control nearly 99 percent of the market.
