A prison guard named Abdus Salam was stabbed in front of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZMC) Hospital in Bogura.
Injured Abdus Salam hails from Ullapara Upazila of Sirajganj. 43-year-old Salam works in Bogura District Jail. His father’s name is Ghulam Ali. He was in charge of the Prison Cell Ward of SZMC Hospital.
On Monday, he was attacked and stabbed by miscreants in front of SZMC Hospital around 7:30 pm. Later, he was rescued and taken to SZMC Hospital by the locals.
ASI Rakibul Hasan of the Chilimpur (Medical) police outpost confirmed this information.
He said Salam went to the market in front of SZMC Hospital in the evening to recharge his cell phone account. At that time, three young men attacked and stabbed him. The assailants later fled on a motorcycle.
He also said that Salam is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The assailants have not been identified. At the same time, the reason for the attack is not known.
