The book ‘Jonmo o Jonir Itihash’ by Jannatun Nayeem Prity has been banned from the current book fair by the Amar Ekushey Boi Mela task force.
The book had a number of contentious issues, such as derogatory remarks against judges and personal attacks, according to the task force.
The publisher was asked not to display or sell the book at the ongoing Amar Ekushey Boi Mela.
The publisher of the book told the media they stopped selling the book during the fair as requested by the task force.
