Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Abu Hena Rahmatul Muneem has called for boosting the number of entrepreneurs.
Promoting entrepreneurship is mandatory for bolstering economy, he added.
As the chief guest the chairman said this while addressing a pre-budget discussion hosted by Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) at its conference hall on Thursday.
He also said that entrepreneurship should be generated with own initiative without depending on others and that will be very much positive for uplifting the country’s economy.
RCCI President Masudur Rahman presided over the meeting.
The NBR chairman underscored the need to boost revenue income for successful implementation of the government’s development commitments.
Describing taxpayers as the driver of the economy, the NBR chairman urged them to supplement the government efforts.
