According to the sources at the Bangladesh embassy there, a Friday car accident in Qatar claimed four Bangladeshi expats’ lives and injured two more.

Two persons died instantly when the expatriates’ automobile lost control and collided with another private car from behind on Al Shamal Road at 5:00 am local time. Yesterday, two more people died from their wounds at the Doha Hamad Hospital.

Mohammad Shakil and Mohammad Yusuf Matbbar, both of Narayanganj, Mohammad Rahat, of Moulvibazar, and Mohammad Sirajul Islam, of Brahmanbaria, were among the deceased.

Rahat’s body was laid to rest in Qatar’s Abu Hamour Cemetery. Shakil, Yusuf, and Sirajul’s bodies have been kept in the mortuary at Doha’s Hamad General Hospital.

Severely injured, Mohammad Jamal Uddin and Habibur Rahman Apu are both undergoing treatment at the same hospital. The two were both from Narayanganj.

The three bodies will be sent to their families in Bangladesh as soon as the relevant protocols have been completed, according to Charge d’Affaires of Bangladesh Embassy Mohammad Mustafizur Rahman.
