The Rampal thermal power plant in Bagerhat, Bangladesh, has experienced a sixth power outage since December due to a shortage of coal.
The plant’s first unit was stopped on July 30th due to a shortage of coal. The plant has been shut down six times in seven months since December.
Experts are concerned about the smooth start of the second unit’s production.
The 1,320 MW coal-fired plant, constructed under the Indian government’s concessional financing scheme, has been shut down six times in seven months.
