Metropolis Report-

Renowned businessman A Rouf Chowdhury passed away at his Dhaka home after a protracted illness. Chowdhury served as the founder chairman of the Sea Resources Group and Rangs Group.

Romana Rouf Chowdhury and Sohana Rouf Chowdhury, his two daughters, and son Romo Rouf Chowdhury are his surviving family members. After the Asr prayer today, his namaz-e-janaza will take place at the Gulshan Azad Mosque.

After the Isha prayer, Chowdhury’s remains will be transported to his ancestral home in Bikrampur, where he will be buried.

Chowdhury received his business management degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States. He has extensive experience in many different sectors, including the automotive, telecom, pharmaceutical, and petroleum industries.

He served as the local manager for two pharmaceutical businesses from the United States in Bangladesh. Chowdhury worked as a senior manager with Jamuna Oil Company for 15 years, during which time he helped Bangladesh’s petroleum products industry grow.

Under his active direction, the 35-company Rangs and Sea Resources Groups were both established. His charismatic leadership and forward-thinking philosophy are supported by the enormous success that both of the groups’ businesses have seen in a short period of time.
