Rajshahi University (RU) has assembled a three-member committee to look into the altercation between the students and locals.
According to sources, the committee is made up of former proctor and Chemistry Professor Tariqul Hasan and Assistant Proctor Arifur Rahman.
At least 200 students were hurt during yesterday’s clashes between the students and locals in Binodpur Bazaar.
There was a bus fare argument between them and the bus driver’s assistant first. Locals attacked the students later.
