Rangamati’s picturesque Ruilui tourist center is thronged with tourists. Hundreds of tourists spent the night on roads, balconies, and cars, not getting rooms in resorts and cottages. Also, many have returned without getting a room.
Tourists come here for the Christmas holiday on Friday and Saturday. As the number of tourists is much higher than the capacity of the resorts and cottages, there is a room crisis in the Ruilui tourist center.
According to Ruilui Tourism Center sources, all resort-cottage rooms in Ruilui Tourism Center were booked in advance even a week back. Still, people kept looking for rooms.
Later, hundreds of tourists slept in various resort and cottage balconies, storerooms, clubhouses, Ruilui Government Primary School, and cars. Many spent the night walking on the streets.
