On Wednesday, Saudi Arabia’s King Salman sent his congratulations to President Dharambeer Gokhool of Mauritius on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
In his message, King Salman wished Gokhool continued good health and happiness, while also expressing hopes for steady progress and prosperity for the government and people of Mauritius.
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman also sent a similar message to the leader of the Indian Ocean republic, wishing him and the people of Mauritius all the best.
Mauritius, with a population of 1.27 million, gained independence from Great Britain on March 12, 1968. It is located east of Madagascar, off the African continent.
