Metropolis Report-
The Flood Forecasting and Warning Center of the Bangladesh Water Development Board issued a warning about the possibility of short-term flooding in the northeastern and upstream regions as a result of heavy rainfall during the next 48 hours.
Rivers like the Surma, Old Surma, Sarigowain, Khowai, Jadukata, Someswari, and Bhogai-Kangsha may rise quickly and cause floods in low-lying places.
The Padma and Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers are steady, but the Ganges River is increasing.
The Teesta, Dharla, and Dudhkumar rivers in the northern region may rise quickly, while major rivers in the northeastern region are trending upward.
Within a day, the Teesta River might cross the danger line near Dalia Point. The Sylhet area had a disastrous flood last year that left hundreds of residents in excruciating pain.
