After meeting Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban, Tamim Iqbal decided to resume his international career.
President of the BCB Nazmul Hassan Papon and ex-captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza accompanied Tamim.
Papon said earlier that Tamim might have made a decision based on emotion and thinks he might change his mind once he meets him.
He will miss the remaining two One-Day Internationals of the Afghanistan series in Chattogram and take a one-and-a-half-month break for recovery.
Tamim is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries and play cricket once he is fully fit, according to Papon.
