From tomorrow, one crore low-income families nationwide will be able to purchase everyday necessities at discounted prices from the state-owned Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB).
According to a press statement from TCB, “the sales activities for July 2023 will begin from 16 July across the country.”
Soybean oil will cost 100 Tk per liter, lentils 60 Tk per kg, sugar 70 Tk per kg, and rice 30 Tk per kg for the one crore TCB cards.
According to the statement, the sales activities will be carried out from dealers’ stores and specifically designated permanent establishments with the assistance of city corporations, district administrations, and Upazila administrations, and in accordance with their schedules.
