Today is the first day of the publication of ‘The Metropolis’, a new-generation online podium for journalism, where stories behind the stories will be told. Future will talk here because we will continually search for the probable solutions or the way forwards along with various issues that our country is facing now and then. We think that talking about the problems only denotes living in the past. Taking lessons from the past, we aim to find out how our present and future can be made beautiful and prosperous.
‘The Metropolis’ will try to inspire the youth by helping them to pursue their dreams. We will run stories about scientific inventions and discoveries. Instead of focusing on the life stories of the scientists and inventors, we will concentrate more on their works – explaining the essence of these works and their significance on the world and the humanities. We believe that once our youth starts dreaming about winning the Nobel, Fields, or Turing awards someday, instead of getting a good job only, that day is not too far away when our country will be proud of its achievements. This youth can take us towards self-dependency with more and more ‘Made in Bangladesh’ concepts or products, starting from nut bolts to even conquer space by ourselves.
‘The Metropolis’ will talk about the welfare of the farmers and the various issues they are facing including the disrupted supply chain and climate change impacts. Being the backbone of the nation, these farmers provide us with food, without which all other things just fall apart. Hence, we shall always remember that we can survive only and only if the farmers can live with dignity and respect.
‘The Metropolis’ will present the stories of those startups to you who may still be at their initial stages or have not been able to succeed yet or in some cases, may have failed. We often come to know about the big awards or investments of the startups in various media, which is appreciable. However, at the same time, we believe that all the startup stories are worth being told about. Thus, more and more startups can move forward and help us achieve the ‘Made in Bangladesh’ goal.
‘The Metropolis’ is a news portal of the youth, by the youth, and for the youth. By inspiring and patronizing the youth, we aim to bring prosperity and growth to our country with a sense of fulfillment.
May god give us strength!
May Bangladesh live long!
Congratulations
Best wishes, Metropolis
