To stop money laundering to nations like the US, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) has asked for assistance from the US.
Despite having political will, institutional ability, and a legal framework, it frequently cannot be implemented, according to Executive Director Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, who spoke on the need for the US to assist with capacity building on matters like money laundering.
He stressed that money laundering is an intricate crime that has an impact on both the countries of origin and the countries of destination and that the US should help to stop it.
Additionally, he underlined the need for associated institutions to receive support from their side after money laundering has been done, as this is frequently lacking.
