After allegedly being alienated from his daughter Suri for ten years following his divorce from Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise no longer has any interaction with her.
The daughter of the Top Gun actor, who is 16 years old, is reportedly applying to universities on her own, without consulting her well-known father, according to the Daily Mail.
Suri is submitting applications to numerous schools. In order for them to be near one another, Katie genuinely wants her to remain in New York. Although she is incredibly overprotective, Katie takes enormous delight in her, a source told the publication.
They stated that Cruise has no part in the lives of his child and has thus provided no input.
One of the most well-known couples of the early 2000s, Cruise, 60, and Holmes, 44, were the subject of countless headlines for their courtship.
In 2005, during an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show that has since become notorious, Cruise leapt up onto the couch to confess his affections for Holmes.
“I’m in love! I’m in love,” he yelled while fist pumping the air. “I can’t be cool. I can’t be laid-back. It’s something that has happened, and I feel I want to celebrate it. I want to celebrate her. She’s a very special woman.”
Suri was born in April 2006, and the pair wed in November of that same year.
But, the union fell apart just six years later when Holmes requested a divorce, and it’s been said that Cruise hasn’t spoken to his daughter since 2013.
The Mission Impossible actor reportedly pays his ex-wife $US400,000 ($A600,000) a year in child support and takes care of all of Suri’s expenditures despite the fact that they are not in contact.
Despite the fact that Cruise hasn’t seen Suri in over ten years, Isabella, 30, and Connor, 28, who are his children with Nicole Kidman, are said to still be close to him.
